Welcome to Kindergarten Mrs. Shade!!

I am Nancy Shade teaching Kindergarten at Hartford Elementary. This is my 11th year teaching, most of those years have been teaching first grade, this is my first year in kindergarten. I grew up in the Wall Lake area and attended school at West Central. I earned my bachelors degree in Elementary Education/Special Education at DSU and my Masters in Reading Specialist at USD. My husband, Korey and I live in Hartford with our daughter Kayley and our daughter Ashley is a nurse residing in Kentucky. We enjoy football, racing, and watching movies. Looking forward to a great year at West Central!

Welcome to Second Grade Ms. Kemink!!

I am originally from Castlewood, SD. I attended Southwest Minnesota State University, University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and Northern State University and played intercollegiate volleyball at SMSU and NSU. I graduated from Northern State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, I minored in PreK-12 Reading. For the 2014-2015 academic year I taught 4th grade in Hill City, SD. This past year I taught preschool at Augustana's Campus Learning Center. I am working towards my master's degree in Educational Administration through the PDC program. I have thoroughly enjoyed my first two weeks at West Central with my second graders and am looking forward to a great year!
